I am a High school senior and have been in a music type class (mostly band) since 7th grade. I have 2 brothers, and 2 dogs. I cannot wait to leave high school and start my life, even though I will miss my friends and teachers.
Progress: Day 1: So far I know the bar minimum about playing the guitar, and I hope to learn more through this class and on my own as well. Progress as of February: I have learned how to play chords and all the progressions for the guitar that have been taught to me. I am still slow on changing, and I hope to change that as time goes on. There has been very great improvement since the start of the semester, and there is still room for improvement. Progress as of March: I have gotten a lot more better playing right handed, though I still feel uncomfortable playing that way. It just doesn't feel natural to me playing that way. But I have gotten better nevertheless. I have also learned some single note songs on my own, and have started to learn others as well. Progress as of April: I have gotten much better since February. Playing right handed has gotten to feel more comfortable, but still feels awkward to play like that. I have learned how to play notes and already knew most of them, so there hasn't been much progress in terms of note names as I have known those notes before. Final Progress: I have definitely gotten better over the semester. From not knowing how to play a chord to knowing how to play all of the chords and also how to play barre chords. I have learned many new things from this class that I am certain I will be putting to use over the rest of my life.
